A lifelong Carthage resident, Jason attended and graduated from Carthage High School in 1987.  He joined the Carthage Fire Department in May 1998.  After serving as a Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant and Captain, he was promoted to the position of Deputy Chief in January 2022 and Interim Fire Chief in 2024. 

Eli Maples began his career with the Carthage Fire Department in 2004. During that time he has held the ranks of Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and Training Officer. In 2021 he was promoted to Fire Marshal. He was born in Joplin, Missouri in 1974 and has lived in the area his entire life. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Amelia, for 25 years and they have four beautiful children: Grace, Sadie, Abe, and Graham.

Brian Calhoon has worked for the Carthage Fire Department since 2008. Brian has held positions of Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and is currently the Department's Training Officer. He enjoys spending time outdoors and spending time with his family. Brian likes watching softball especially when it involves his kids.
