Overview
Located on Route 66 at the corner of Oak and Garrison Avenue, Memorial Hall is a great place to host memorable events. The venue focuses on community history with a memorial to veterans of WWI and WWII at the hall's main entrance. The displays feature things that the soldiers carried in their bags, such as knives, brushes, and smaller pieces of their uniforms. The eastern wall side has the names of Carthage soldiers honored in battle.
Memorial Hall is a community venue available for private events. The Main Auditorium can seat 400 people at tables, 700 in stadium-style seating, and hold about 500 people in a tradeshow format. A kitchen is also available adjacent to the auditorium with a microwave, 10-burner stove, refrigerator, and a warmer.
The Lower Level hosts smaller events, hospitality areas, speakers' lounge, or breakout rooms and can hold up to 80 people. Two swinging metal doors cover the openings to the lower-level kitchen that offers a microwave, a full stove, and a refrigerator.
Memorial Hall is a perfect event venue in Carthage. Each year, the facility is rented for class reunions, birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, quinceaneras, auctions, corporate meetings, trade shows, job fairs, and more.
The electronic sign located in the front of the building promotes public events in Carthage or at Memorial Hall. The sign is always up to date on the events.
